Megan Blunk

In 2008, Megan was involved in a life changing motorcycle accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. For months following the crash it was unclear if Megan would ever walk again. At only 18 years old the idea of being restricted to a wheelchair for the rest of her life was daunting and depressing. However, with the support of family, friends, and the community, Megan began her recovery. It was during this period of rehab that Megan was introduced to Maughan Prosthetics. Justin Maughan, owner of MPO, made it his goal to explore every possible option to help Megan become more mobile. From shoe lifts, to leg braces, and plenty of variations in between, it’s taken time and experimentation to figure out the best solution to Megan’s mobility differences. Megan still relies heavily on her wheelchair, and has competed at the collegiate, and Paralympic level playing wheel chair basketball. She won a gold medal in 2016 with team USA, and currently is training for the 2020 games in Tokyo. Megan’s story has been an inspiration to countless people in the community, the United States, and the world. She has been featured on commercials for Nike, and commercials with Kobe Bryant. She continues to inspire people with her story and ongoing journey through life. Check out a couple of the commercials that Megan has been in below, as well as the video MPO put together with Megan in 2016.
